
This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Jennifer Piasecki! Mrs. Piasecki teaches Kindergarten and has taught for 10 years here at PES. She has an Undergraduate Degree from Salisbury University in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Geography. Mrs. Piasecki is also nearing completing her Graduate Degree from La Salle with a concentration in The Differentiated Classroom. Mrs. Piasecki plans to continue to teach our little Panthers! We are so thankful that Mrs. Piasecki has made the Panther Pride Den her home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride

Our creative kindergartners went above and beyond to help their turkeys avoid being dinner! We had everything from Santa, Superheroes, French fries, a king and princess, an astronaut, a pizza man, a rainbow, a crayon box, and even Taylor Swift making an appearance! 🎨🖌️

Our PES Winter Concert will be on Tuesday, 12/10, at 7 PM at the CHRS Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. We look forward to sharing music from our chorus, band, and orchestra this Winter and Holiday season!



The Preston Panther PTO will hold its annual PTO Movie Night on Friday, 12/13. Materials for this event, including letters for Santa students to fill out, are in the newsletter, have been emailed to families, and will be sent home this week in student backpacks. Way to go Panthers! You also might be wondering, why is Mr. Klein dressed like that? Mr. Klein and his class have challenges where if they meet the classroom standards they get to pick his outfits from time to time. This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Cortney Blizzard. Mrs. Blizzard teaches grades K through 2 as a Special Education teacher grade. She has taught for 10 years here at PES. She has a Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education and is
certified in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Blizzard also holds a Masters Degree in Differentiated Instruction and has received training in LETRS, OG+ Math, and OG+ Reading Interventions. Mrs. Blizzard plans to becoming a National Board Certified Teacher and continue to support and help her students grow, learn, and succeed. We are so thankful that Mrs. Blizzard has made the Panther Pride Den her home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride


This is a final reminder to join us for Academic Night at Preston Elementary School; tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20th! There will be Food Trucks & Warm Drinks starting at 5:30 PM and Games, a Book Raffle & more fun from 6-7:15 PM. Bring the whole family for an evening of learning, laughter, and community connection! Plus, we’re excited to support a food drive sponsored by the Ruritan Club. Donate a canned good or non-perishable food item at the event, and each student who donates will be entered in a drawing for free ice cream or snacks from the cafeteria! Winners will be announced the next day. We can’t wait to see you there for a night of fun and giving back!

Birney—and again is being asked to read it with his or her family at home over the next few weeks. We ask you to make the time to read the book together so your family can participate in this fun reading experience.
