Mrs. Butler is our staff member of the week! Mrs. Butler is our fantastic ELA teacher in 5th grade, and the way she enables her students to learn and engage with the content while growing over the course of the year is always amazing to see! Congratulations Mrs. Butler and thank you for being such a big part of what makes our 5th-grade team and PES so special!

Congratulations to Raiden Taylor for being chosen as the PES Book Reviewer of the Week! The book that he reviewed is called The Big Bad Fox by Benjamin Renner. He gave it 5 stars. Raiden said he liked the book because the fox was trying so hard to be bad but he wasn’t. Sounds like the animal version of The Bad Guys! This is the second time this same book was reviewed by one of our winners! It must be good, come check it out in the Graphic Novel section of the library! Congratulations Raiden! #PESreads

While all of PES celebrated MD Day, our 4th grade went colonial! They read about the lives of boys and girls in colonial America, practiced colonial handwriting, made our own butter, worked with colonial money, and played with colonial toys/games. What a fantastic experience! Check out our Facebook page for the full album! #pespantherpride

Our Pre-K 3 Panthers celebrated Purple Day and they also had a class visitor! Mr. Childers was kind enough to talk about safety with our students and had bike helmets for all! Check out our Facebook page for the full album!

Our 2nd grade did not get the best of weather on their field trip to Adkins Arboretum, but they still made the most of it. We are hopeful to reschedule soon to get the full experience!

Congratulations to this weeks PES PAWSITIVE Referral recipients! Kendall, Dawson, and Lainey are doing a great job! These students are showing their PAWS each and every day! #pespantherpride

Maryland Day at PES was fun! Our Panthers definitely think we have some cool colors. #MDDay

The Preston Panther PTO is hosting the PES annual Springfest this Saturday, March 25th at the Preston Volunteer Fire Department! There is something for everyone. GAMES, CRAFTS, FOOD, RAFFLES, and MORE! Come out and support PES!

The Book Bistro is open for an early brunch! Mrs. Blackmon's 4th grade students learned about genres of books today while dining at the Media Center - I mean after all: books are brain food! #PESReads #PESPantherPride

We know that our hallways are safe when our Pre-K 3-year-old Paw Patrol is out and about! Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Cayer definitely know how to make a students day 🥹☺️🥰 #PESPantherPride

We had a lot of Leprechauns at PES today! Our Panthers had their green on and had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day! Please see the PES Facebook page for the entire album! #pespantherpride

We are excited to say that Miss Michelle Vinton is our staff member of the week! Miss Vinton is one of our 2nd-grade teachers. Miss Vinton is always so kind, patient, loving, and compassionate with her students, and seeing how they grow with her over the course of a year is amazing! Thank you Miss Vinton for all you do for our Panthers!

Congratulations to Claire Sullivan for being chosen for our Book Reviewer of the Week! The book that she reviewed is called "Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt" by Ben Clanton. She gave it 5 stars. She said she liked the book because they were following their dreams to be super heroes! Claire loves to read. You can find this book in our Quick Reads Section of the Media Center!
